Sunday service, Jan 7th

Brother Witold Czyz began with a word from Heb 11:1-2: “And faith is the certainty of what is expected, the conviction of what is not seen. After all, to it the ancestors owe a glorious testimony.”
Our faith cannot be limited only to a certain time frame, I agree. We believe unconditionally that in God will fulfill what He has promised. Abraham did not doubt the promise to receive a son, even though years passed in which he hoped it would already happen.

Brother Piotr Pilch emphasized that God knows better than me what path is best for my salvation.
Romans 15:4-6: “For whatever was written before was written for our instruction, that through patience and through comfort from the Scriptures we might hope. And God, who is the fountain of patience and consolation, may cause you to be of one mind among yourselves after the example of Jesus Christ, That ye may worship the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with one accord, with one mouth.”

Brother Roman Szalbot shared a word from 1 John 3:2-3: “Beloved, now are we the children of God, but it has not yet been revealed what we shall be. But we know that when he is revealed, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. And everyone who places this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” Our goal is to receive a glorious testimony. How quickly do I put off working on myself when I find myself in trials? After all, the intention is to become like Him!

WoL 323:
Do you have the faith that Christ for us brought in?
By this great and mighty pow’r we conquer sin.
Yes, this faith, it is a key—
Unlocks doors to victory
For disciples who like Jesus long to be.

O precious faith—the faith of Jesus Christ!
It in His body lives, great vict’ry to us gives!
Faith’s Pioneer—we praise Him, Christ the Lord!
Because He was perfected, all things He can restore!
