This is the day the Lord has made

Indescribable joy, enormous gratitude, delight and tears of emotion were visible on the faces of people who entered our beautiful new facility in Ustroń. It is hard to believe that what we have dreamed of for so many years has become a reality. Only “through the Lord has it happened, and it is wonderful in our eyes,” so we are incredibly grateful to God for His goodness and grace.

On March 13, 2021, after two years of construction, we met for the first time in our new hall together with representatives of the WEW and HMC Foundation from the Netherlands and two brothers from Germany, counselors during the construction. Due to the pandemic, the number of people attending had to be significantly reduced, but it was possible to watch the online broadcast, for which we are very thankful.

First, Brother David Nooitgedagt gave a brief report on the activities of the foundations that funded the construction of our building. Then the brothers and sisters expressed their immense gratitude to God for this work that has been accomplished in such a short time.

Brother Carl Hahne read a word from Psalm 118:24-27 “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in Him … tie up the procession with branches, all the way to the corners of the altar!” Let the fire of the Lord consume the sacrifice, and then there will be food in our worship services. All earthly thoughts of praise and worship do not create fellowship, and we must take care that our motives are always pure. The measure of our godliness is how quickly we surrender any thought, such as irritation, discontent, or demands into obedience to Christ, and wisdom depends on whether we let ourselves be told.

With great emotion, Br. Piotr Pilch thanked God, the brothers, and all the people who had made it possible for us to be here today to celebrate the unofficial opening of the new church building.

Thank you very much for this festive evening, and see you in Ustroń-Nierodzim!
