On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, it was with great sadness that we said goodbye to our dear brother Jan Kędzior, who passed away on August 31, 2023.
Jan Kędzior converted to God in his early youth and served God and people zealously throughout his life. This God-fearing, good, humble and extremely helpful man was a help and a role model for many.
At the age of 22, he became a youth leader, and their hospitable home was the place where services were held. Since 1990, he served on the council of the ZSCh church, and since 2022 on the KOACH church council. For many years he served as treasurer of the church.
Chairman of the Council of Apostles Brother Christoph Matulke remembered with respect and reverence the long-standing fellowship with Brother Janek, who always stood like a strong pillar in the church, sure, firm and unshakeable despite the storms and tempests. “For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. And each in his own order: as Christ first, then those who are Christ’s at his coming.” 1 Corinthians 15;22-23 He always stood on the right side, made the right choices just like Abraham, which brought great blessing to the whole church. Despite the sadness and lack we feel, we must go on and continue this God’s work.
Brother Witold Czyz also remembered Janek with emotion and respect, as one who saw the needs of others and helped as much as he could. He was extremely well-liked by young and old alike. There was always a good, heavenly atmosphere in his hospitable home. He worked to gain the life of Christ, and now he will have a wide-open entrance to the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
“I have fought the good fight, I have made the race, I have kept the faith, and now the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not to me only but also to all who loved his coming.” 2 Tim 4;7-8
