On October 2-3 the first Christian International Conference was held in the new Hall. It was a very bonding and edifying event, to the joy of all the church members and guests.
At several of the meetings we received many words of comfort, strengthening, and exhortation from both Polish and foreign brothers and sisters.
Brother Tore began with a word from John chapter 1:
“What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked upon, and what our hands have touched, O Word of life –
And the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and preach unto you that eternal life which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.
What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is fellowship with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
And this we write, that our joy may be full.”
Building up, following in the footsteps of Jesus, and cultivating fellowship on a daily basis, including outside of congregations, was encouraged. We strive for the kind of life that was in Christ. People should see the same virtues in us. This means that I have true fellowship with the Father, the Son, and my brothers and sisters.
The whole event was translated simultaneously in the interpreters’ booth and transmitted to the audience through special listening devices. Audiovisual recording of the whole convention was also provided.
