The winter holidays are a special time for children, and it is especially for them that the February 4, 2024 service was prepared.
We returned with our thoughts to the story of Josiah, who, instead of following in his father’s footsteps, chose God’s way and changed the fate of his country. At the service, we pointed out that God abundantly rewards those who are willing to serve Him. He carefully observes all people and rewards them on the basis of deeds.
God has established laws of life that apply to the entire universe. One such law is described in Galatians 6:7: “Do not err, God will not be mocked; for what a man sows, that he will also reap.” It is good to remember this law in daily life. It is impossible to be a bad person; to act selfishly or maliciously, and reap the good harvest of one’s conduct. If we sow evil, we will not get a good harvest. But if we choose to sow what is good, then the harvest will be fantastic – God will bless us for our good choices, and these choices can also bless everyone around us.
The children were able to touch and see the little seeds we sow. These seeds – our thoughts, actions, plans, etc. – may be very insignificant, but if they are good, they grow into something good and much bigger – they produce a good and abundant crop.
It was also interesting to hear what the children decided in their hearts. Their desire to live for God and sow good instead of evil was touching.
After the service, we continued fellowship over lunch, coffee and games prepared for the children’s holiday weekend.
